FALL RIVER — The fur will fly on Tuesday at Fall River’s waterfront.
The Fall River Public Library is hosting the Flying High Dogs for an outdoor show at Heritage State Park on Tuesday at 6 p.m. The event is free, and everyone’s welcome to bring lawn chairs, blankets or towels to watch the show.
Mike Piazza, the leader of the Flying High Dogs pack, will lead his four dogs in a fun, all-ages, family-friendly show of spectacular canine aerial acrobatics with Frisbees and more — and they need your help, in the form of audience participation.

According to Flying High, the team is made up of four border collies, all of them Piazza’s pets: Bullet, 12, once a world-record jumper; Maui, 9, capable of doing back flips; Chaos, 6, a speed demon and “the fastest border collie ever, clocked at 35 mph”; and Mojo, 3, who knows over 30 tricks.

Piazza and his dogs have been seen on Animal Planet and ESPN, and have performed for the NFL, NBA, Major League Soccer and minor league baseball. Piazza is a world record-holder in the sport of Disc Dog.
Free parking is available in the Water Street lot.

The library’s program is made possible by a grant from the Fall River Women’s Union.
