Angus – Patterdale terrier
This busy boy, aged two to five years old, loves having his nose to the ground and finding places to hide.
He is looking for dedicated owners to continue his training and he needs an adult-only home and to be the only pet.
Angus is a livewire who rarely stays still, and he needs to remain on his lead for walks.
He will need a garden of his own and walks in quiet areas, as well as working on his doggy socialising skills.
Ben and Jess – Crossbreed and border collie
These affectionate life-long pals are looking for a home together.
Ben is 14 and a half years young, enjoys little walks and rolling around in the grass, and he likes to sleep near someone at night.
Jess, 15, is a little more shy, but she loves a fuss once she gets to know you.
The pair could live with children over 15 and can be left for a couple of hours once they’ve settled in.
Bruno – Spaniel: English springer
Bruno loves people and cuddles but is not a fan of other dogs, so his walking areas need to be quiet with few dogs around.
He is a typical spaniel and adores a game of fetch and playing with his ball.
This handsome boy is looking for an adult-only home, where he is the only pet, with a secure garden.
While out on walks, he will need to be kept on a lead and muzzled.
Buddy – Collie cross
Seven-year-old Buddy is an affectionate boy who loves a fuss, food, and treats, which is a great aid for his training.
His new owners will need to continue the work implemented at the shelter and his walks will initially need to be in quiet areas so he can build up his confidence.
Although his behaviour around other dogs has deteriorated, he has been doing very well recently.
He could live with children over 16, but in a home with no young visiting children.
Chloe – Shih tzu
Chloe is a sweet nine-year-old girl, but she can be a worrier when meeting new people.
She is looking for a quiet home with patient owners who won’t rush her, and although she can be worried when dogs come over for an intro, she will happily walk near them.
Due to her worried nature, Chloe will need to be the only dog in the home.
She could live with children aged 16 and over and she needs plenty of time to settle into her new home.
Luna – Lurcher
One-year-old Luna loves to play with her toys and knows a few tricks such as ‘lay down’ and ‘paw’.
She has an energetic personality but also has a sensitive side, and her cheeky character really comes out with the help of some tasty treats.
Toys and food are a great way to build a friendship with Luna, and she is looking for a home with plenty of positive experiences as she can be a worrier.
She can live with children 13 years and up, but would need the right type of playmate if sharing her home with another canine friend.
Maggie – Lurcher
This sweet girl, aged between six and 12 months, can be shy with new faces and timid in new situations.
She has a bouncy and cheeky side once she builds up relationships, and she loves a fuss once she’s made friends.
Maggie will need ongoing training and a confidence boost, as well as someone at home most of the day as she doesn’t like being left.
She will need to be the only dog in the home but must have walking buddies to keep social.
Maggie could live with older teens, over 16, but not in a home with visiting children.
Scruff and Tip – Saluki and lurcher
These best pals, aged over eight, are looking for their retirement pad.
They enjoy lounging around and enjoying the finer things in life together.
This pair would like to be the only dogs in the home but could live with children 13 years and older.
Scruff is a total gentleman, and Tip has an affectionate side and she is looking for a quieter lifestyle.

Shane – Crossbreed
Shane finds new places and faces scary, but he has made a lot of progress since being in the shelter and the team have seen his cheeky personality shine through.
He must live with a pre-existing confident dog and new owners will need to be at home to implement housetraining and build up his time left alone.
This beautiful boy will need access directly from the house to a fully-enclosed garden as he may find walks scary initially.
Sooty – Greyhound
This friendly girl loves to be by your side for plenty of attention.
She takes treats gently but loves her food and doesn’t mind helping herself if given the chance.
Sooty will need a home where owners are around the majority of the day because she adores company.
She could share her home with a similar sized dog and can live with children of around eight years old, as she still needs to learn a few manners around food.
While out on walks, she likes to stick right by your side, and it doesn’t appear she is used to walking on a lead so she could do with a confidence boost in this area.
