German Shepherds are battling to secure the UK’s favourite dog breed – now is your final chance to ensure they win.
Thousands of votes have been cast since our sister site TeamDogs launched the UK’s Favourite Dog Breed competition in association with Pooch & Mutt. Dog owners all over the country have been battling it out to support their best-loved breed.
Manchester Evening News is backing German Shepherds as the nation’s most treasured breed – today they are in seventh place, but that could all change in this final week.
Michael Hylands championed German Shepherds for the MEN. He said: “It’s probably difficult for someone who hasn’t owned a German Shepherd to fully understand how lovable and cuddly a dog they are, which is what makes them so special when combined with the fact that they can also be machines when they need to be.
“You can trust them 100% to look out for you. They’ve always got your back.”
Take your favourite into the lead and register your third and final vote now, before the winner is announced on Saturday, August 14.
Every Friday, we’ve seen the 10 breeds with the lowest amount of votes eliminated from the competition. Last week, the Corgi, Toy Poodle and Pomeranian all dropped into the ‘Dog House’.
Don’t miss your final chance to make a difference!
You have just five days to champion your favourite dog as the poll closes on Saturday evening, August 14.
