One-year-old Mookie is known in Soho for his adventurous spirit as he frolics the city with his owners and travels to new places.
The Shiba pup lives with his owner Aimee Mckinney, 27, and her partner, who have always loved the breed. Aimee takes him wherever she goes and has even entered him in to the Soho dog show where he was crowned winner.
Aimee said: “I think Mookie embodies Soho, he’s so friendly and colourful and always has a big smile on his face.
“He’s a positive little ball of energy and I think that really fits in with the vibe of Soho and he really thrived being at the dog show as he was so happy with all the attention and all the other dogs around that he wouldn’t sit still.”
Mookie is no stranger to winning first place, he’s bagged two other rosettes including the title of ‘English Rose’ in DogFuriendly’s annual BarkAid photo competition and he came second in the category of fancy dress during an online photo competition run by the UK Shiba Inu Rescue, to raise money for some rescues they were transporting from Hungary.

The happy dog spreads joy where ever he goes and has even put up with his owner’s crazy ideas. Aimee enjoys dressing him up for Halloween, getting him to pose for pictures, and has even taken him on an eight hour ferry journey to Ireland. He is always ready for the next adventure.
Aimee, who is a VFX producer for film and TV, believes that Mookie fits in really well with their busy city lifestyle. Mookie has a brave spirit and loves the attention from passers by, who love to pet him.
She said: “He also really enjoys how vibrant and fun London is, he’ll frequently stop to watch street performers or listen to buskers on the streets and he literally always tries to pull us down to the tube as he knows it’ll take him to more fun London places!”

Mookie’s favourite London spot is St James Park where loves to chase balls and geese, and potters around the lake toward Buckingham Palace. He can often be found dining in at all the dog friendly restaurants, where he has been complimented on for his polite manners.
Although he is famed for his cuteness, Mookie also has a big heart. He ran his own fundraiser for the UK Shiba Inu Rescue charity where he walked all the monopoly stops across London. The couple documented his journey on his Instagram account and raised money from his friends and followers.
