San Antonio’s Animal Care Services department maintains a database of microchipping applications for dogs in the city. The Express-News requested this data to suss out what the most popular dog names are in San Antonio.
Coming out on top is the name Luna. Out of the 1,559 dogs chipped through ACS since October 31, 2020, 20 were named Luna. This does not count any variation on the name Luna that appears in the database, including Lady Luna Elizabeth, Luna Gonzales, and Luna Star.
