Don’t miss your chance to vote for the UK’s favourite dog after 10 more breeds have been dropped from the contest.
We need your votes to ensure your best loved breed moves up the leaderboard before the polling ends on Saturday, August 14.
Thousands of votes have been cast since the poll was launched by our sister site TeamDogs, in conjunction with Pooch & Mutt, with dog owners all over the country arguing in support of their best-loved breeds.
Every Friday, the 10 least popular breeds in the ‘dog house’ section of the leaderboard are relegated from the competition.
Those eliminated this morning were the Corgi, Toy Poodle, Cavachon, American Bulldog, Tibetan Terrier, Lhasa Apso, Poochon, Bichon Frise, Dobermann, and Pomeranian.
Dog lovers all over the country have been showing support for their favourite breeds.
Sarah Davies commented on Facebook: “Working cocker spaniels are adorable, though I am biased! Here’s mine, Arlo.”
Sheryl Cunliffe make the case for German Shepherds. She wrote: “Belle and I reckon GSD all the way!”
Anthony Van Der Seen is backing the current leader, Staffordshire Bull Terriers. He said: “Staffies are obviously the best “British” breed.”
Earlier this week, three new breeds were added to the competition after readers were invited to lobby for those they thought should be included. They were Bedlington Terrier, Great Dane and the Samoyed.
You now have just eight days to support your favourite dog as the poll closes at 7pm on Saturday, August 14. To keep your favourites out of the dog house and risk being eliminated from the competition, make sure you vote today.
