The forecast was Storm-y.
A Canadian weatherman inadvertently demonstrated the perils of bringing your pet — particularly one named Storm the Weather Dog — to work after his canine hilariously video-bombed his Friday report on Hurricane Ida.
A clip of the lovely inter-ruff-tion at present boasts practically 300,000 views on YouTube and has gone viral across the globe.
In the uproarious footage, Global News meteorologist Anthony Farnell might be seen updating viewers on the forecast for Hurricane Ida that coming weekend — when his goldendoodle casually wanders onto the green-screen set.
“Yes, Storm is in the building,” quips the broadcaster, noting that his four-legged pal gave the impression to be “walking on thin air” as he appeared on-screen.
Farnell initially tried to dam Storm from view together with his physique, however finally gave up and allowed the climate dog to peruse the set for treats whereas he completed the report.
Global News summed up the incident beneath their YouTube video: “Both consummate professionals, Anthony finished his segment without a hitch while Storm sated his hunger (and mugged a bit for the camera) … all in a day’s work!”
This isn’t the primary time Farnell has been videobombed by his awwww-inspiring anchor. The meteorologist recounted a 2012 incident when Storm made his first ever unplanned look on the nightly information.
“I was working on my weather maps, and I assumed Storm was under my desk,” Farnell told Today. “A couple minutes later I glanced up to the TV monitor in front of me and there was Storm, popping his head up from under the news desk right beside the anchor during our live broadcast.”
